my agency was engauged by a $700M company a few years back as in-house head-hunters.
they were audited by KPMG and one remit was to get an ex-KPMG Manager on board as a financial controller... specifically within their retail distribution and Licensing arena.
No conflict, in fact PLC's like it as they feel he/she will know the best way to manuever through audits without any time delays.
they wanted someone who Knew their Business space, who previously was a Manager level at their current audit firm. Leaves less to chance come earnings season. Heck we were even told to find a current KPMG Manager who was interested in going end-user!
