Subject : Nighthawk Systems Receives Third Order From Nebraska Public Power District

/ / / Inbox

To all,
The release below went out this morning and announces the third order that Nighthawk has received from Nebraska Public Power District within the last 45 days. I'm not sure that there is much more I can say that hasn't already been said over the past couple of months about sales of the CEO-700. The utilities that are buying the product are coming back for more, and doing so more often and sooner than they have historically. The bottom line is this: The utilities can save money and work much more safely with the CEO-700. Utilities don't change the way they do business very quickly - after all, they're in the business of sending power down the line, not stopping it. But with deregulation, there is more competition and more focus on the bottom line than ever before. And then there is the safety factor. There have been several incidents lately where field personnel have been dispatched to collect a bill or disconnect power, and been physically harmed by angry customers in the process.
Our products work, and customers keep coming back to us for more. With each new customer and each new order, we're gaining additional exposure for the Company and it's products. I look for this positive trend to continue.

Doug

Nighthawk Systems Receives Third Order From Nebraska Public Power District Within 45 Day Period

SAN ANTONIO, TX – 4/21/05- Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: NIHK), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power control products, today announced that Nebraska Public Power District (“NPPD”)has placed an additional, third order for Nighthawk’s proprietary CEO-700 whole house disconnect units. Nighthawk received two orders from NPPD during March 2005, and NPPD recently placed the third order as part of its ongoing program to reduce operating costs. NPPD is Nebraska's largest electric utility, with a chartered territory including all or parts of 91 of Nebraska's 93 counties.

The CEO-700 gives electric utilities the ability to remotely disconnect and reconnect power to electric meters, saving them significant time and money over the traditional manual disconnect/reconnect methods that require field personnel to be dispatched multiple times to customers’ premises. Nighthawk has learned that a utility can recoup its investment in the CEO-700 by utilizing the unit only three times.

H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk’s CEO, stated, “It’s obvious that NPPD has found the CEO-700 to be a valuable and effective tool, as they have placed three orders in fairly rapid succession. We continue to have other utilities express interest in the product as a more efficient and safer way to connect and disconnect power to troubled accounts and difficult locations. We plan on putting demo units in the hands of many of these potential customers so that they can experience first-hand just how easily our product is to operate. I firmly believe that, once a utility adopts our technology, they will continue to place orders just as NPPD has in order to save time and money.”
