Turns out the wood-burner I had sitting in a field is a Warm Morning model 701A, manufactured by Locke Stove Co, who is no longer in business.
The blower and attaching sheetmetal are missing. Found a place I can get the blower for $127.50 and it probably wouldn't be too tough to fabricate the necessary sheet-metal.
The firebox is quite large and appears to be in good condition from what I can currently tell. It has what I'd call a pseudo-thermostat. You set a lever to any of 10 positions from Low to High. The lever is connected to one of those coil spring deals like a normal thermostat has, and that controls the position of the intake air door. There's also a speed control for the blower. Don't know if it's like my Buck stove in the basement, where the fan won't come on unless the fire box is hot enough.
Anyway, it looks like for about $200 in stovepipe, motor, and sheetmetal, I could have a pretty good little wood stove that'd probably do about 100k BTU. It's a start.
Getting ceiling fans this week or next and we'll see how much that helps down there.
