I sat in massive traffic coming back from the beach (santa monica) to Studio City yesterday. I don't see the price of gas having ANY effect on traffic in LA because there are no alternatives. NONE. Muni trans. is a joke, most live too far from work to bike, and LA types would rather drive 5 blocks to the store than walk. The only thing I've noticed was a guy in a Suburban turned off his car while waiting in line at J in the Box, and didn't pull up until he was next in the window, which just pissed me and the kids off when we wanted a junk food jam after being at the beach, LOL.
