This market is WAY over bought right now, many of the technology stocks at this time are crashing hard in the after hours market. JDS Uniphase Corp., Ciena Corporation, Finisar Corporation, just to name a few who are tanking because of a bad conference call from Ciena yesterday, and Finisar Corp tonight. If these prices hold at this level and then escalate downward at the open when the retail market realizes they just lost 10-20 plus percent of their portfolio over night then this could end up being the worst tech crash since 2000. Apple, Google, and Amazon will have to hold the sector up or it will get bad fast.

If you want to day trade. Watching who's up today and who tomorrow, sector watching won't help. It's like you said, flux.


If you want to swing trade, watch the 3 month performance line up. Then scan the companies charts for patterns.

I never implied checking sectors were for day trading.
