I think the key will be the 2006 Congressional Elections. If the Republicans don't have a crushing defeat in 2006, it is all over and your view will take hard control.
Regards Cheney yes indeed he is quite dangerous i have, however, rejected the view Bush is some dumb innocent in his control.
Bush gathers around him those he wants around him, not those he is told to pick.
I think one the biggest mistakes that went on at the beginning of nightmare was to see Bush as the puppet and Cheney the Darth Vader manipulating him.
I think this was a denial by many to confront that the man right at the very top is not manipulated but is himself a master manipulator, lier and propagandist with a 'i can do no wrong megalomania' so typical of dictators.
His incapacity to take blame or have an ounce of guilt for anything is a classic psycopathic trait.
Is it not fascinating how dear Bill Clinton is now getting so buddy buddy with the new rulers, i have had to ask is this a man that would sell his soul to stay in the ' i got power' game? And my answer to this is, "i suspect he is."
