Not pointing specifically at anyone here, but even if a telephone bill was provided to prove a conversation took place, the contents of that conversation would be suspect to question...unless recorded.

Yes, a phone record would certainly be great evidence. It is also very possible that Elcheepo did speak to Ken but perhaps Elcheepo "spilled the beans" by revealing something(s) that should have remained confidential, and that forced Ken to ignore him after that.
