peg, re. Livermoore, yes, that's exactly what happened, I didn't say that he lost it all in 1929, I said that he lost it all during 1929-1932 stock market crash, and as you point out, he switched to the long side way too early and lost it all.
peg - I think he finally lost it all by being short in the bull market that began after the 37 crash (he committed suicide in 1940). He always had a bearish bias!
