So is there now a shortage of waste in NY? The problem is now solved? Landfills are getting less waste now, not more, than say 6 months or a year ago? The plastic waste problem is shrinking?

Or is the waste problem actually rapidly growing and accelerating, especially the plastic waste problem?

Hint -- these are rhetorical questions.
