OK, but if that interpretation of "hire" is correct, why would she be concerned at all, let alone to the point of calling MW and trying to cover it up? If what she gave him is essentially the same as what they give every potential client she should have no concern in telling her boss at CCME what she gave them. Or what am I missing? I'm puzzled.
My reading of the call (if it was real) is that MW promised the girl herself a job, instead of doing business with CCME. “??” (in Chinese) means a job for a person, it has NO meaning doing business with a company.
