mL (sole generic) approval did nothing for the stock... why should we expect mC approval to be any different.

That's surely not how I remember "approval." The stock went nuts (originally). Then, the market started focusing on the economics of the NVS arrangement and the likelihood of tL approval.

A mC approval will not have the economic problems of mL- but it may have a significant delay if MNTA/NVS does not prevail in the patent case. But the numbers will just be too big not to have some market effect (though maybe not as much as many here - include me - hope). The market will eventually recognize value. Many are too impatient. Plus there are no guarantees in life (e.g. a new treatment may take away the Cop market).

Mpower,

I think that the approval of M-Copaxone will not only boost Momenta for Copaxone itself, but we'll get some add back for Enoxaparin.

The street today looks at Momenta as a ticking time bomb because it's one and only profit center (enox) could dissipate overnight. Copax would add the safety that the street needs.

On the other hand, while we don't dare talk about it , there is a possibility that the FDA could deny or demand trials which will hurt us. The patents don't bother me because sooner or later they will disappear.

I do expect that Teva has the power to defend the sales of copaxone once a generic becomes available but we have many hurdles to get over before that.

Let's hope that something happens soon because before we know it Momenta will run through its tax credits and the street will have to factor in income taxes.
