As for the canal, you have to make an appointment and pay the fees in advance. The fee is by tonage or Kilo.( a person swam through the canal and paid 38 cents.) There is no waits or waiting time your talking about. Yes I know ships do wait, but its a wait like going to the doctor, it could be awhile but not as long as people think.
