These are exactly the sort of comments I was referring to when I said there was no point talking about fundamentals here. Even if the sp forward pe was 18-20, which is not optimistic at all(20 is about flat e growth which won't happen), you are talking about interest rates causing that model to be among the lowest valuations in the history of the US stock market. yet valuation aren't low;>( There simply were too many folks with no experience..that is what I really think caused everything from mid 98 to now. Too many folks looking for even lower pe's with rates this low. Its incredible really. As I said elsewhere, in 1982 I got a 6 month cd for 18%. I say this here and its as if no one even gets what that means. Amazing. The fact that interest rates are so low, makes equities a huge bargain.PERIOD
