The spending cuts proposed now by Pubs and Obama are silly. Re Arrange of the Deck Chairs on the Titanic. None of them (R) or (D) are willing to lead unless there is a majority mass of people right behind them and it will be near impossible to get consensus on Real Cuts it will take to do any good. Some hate to admit it but the big spending is redistribution of wealth from a too small pool of young poorer citizens to a too large boom of old mostly better off citizens. What to do? Nothing? Then the promise will have to be fulfilled with money out of thin air because we could Take Almost Every Cent of Income and not pay our obligations as it stands. fwiw, hge
