Not positive but I think CRME said MRK was moving it forward at least last I was aware.

This is from CRME press release in Dec2010. Does it sound going to phase III as originally planned? I am not sure.

Merck has informed Cardiome of its next steps in clinical development for vernakalant (oral) beginning in 2011.

I don't have position in CRME, but have been following it since 2008 when IV vernakalant NDA was pending at FDA.
