In accordance with ARIN regulations you can demand the ownership information and if it cannot be produced and verified the domain is pulled from the root servers and made available to register again. Now, this does NOT mean that YOU will get the name, but it forces the registrar to confirm it is real.

Nothing can stop these attacks. Only thing is to track the naked shorts, subpoena all of their document and communications and hang them. Chance of that happening, none.

The registrar is in Canada, would be tougher, though not impossible, to subpoena the info. I'm sure that's purely coincidental of course, right?

The better question is, who cares? I have no problem with this website or the open letter to Deloitte. If CME has nothing to hide, then Deloitte should check all these things with heavy scrutiny. Once that is finished, CME would be vindicated and the stock price should begin to trade accordingly. Let it be said, let it be done.
