MNTA

Some of the rest was rather weak, like FoB's and pathetic like M118.

I am not sure that I would be quite that negative - e.g. they talked about restarting M118 partnering discussions because the environment has changed in cardiac drugs. But I wouldn't rate it as positively as many of the other posters on this board.

What really surprised me is that CW refused to comment on any M&A activity - which would seem to be an implicit acknowledgement that it is on the table since certainly there are companies that do publicly disavow any interest in a merger as part of partnering.

We frequently discuss tL as an overhang. But the lack of apparent movement of other products, pipeline or partnerships is at least as big a problem.

i think we all agree lack of tangible progress/partnering on rest of pipeline is weighing on the stock as well
i think CW could have put mC into the forefront even more - after stating typical ANDA review times he could have outright said that since they are at that point in time in review it could be a 2011 event - that kind of spin i can live with - let shorts sweat a little. also i didn't care for the whole bit on losing 180 day exclusivity - who cares, the assumption is mylan won't get approval and if they do mnta's IP woudl block them - less is more sometimes

i don't think FOB was weak - when he mentioned they were approached with partnering for single products but decided to look for broader partnership really helped convince me at least there is genuine interest in the technology and it is only a matter of time

M118 is what it is

As CW mentioned, the delay in mL approval resulted in MNTA putting most of its pipeline on the back burner. Now with ample cash it will pick up the pace on building out its pipeline.

M118 may not be going anywhere but maybe it can ink something. Would MNTA turn down any partnership opportunity with a respectable partner as long as it didn't require it to spend significant cash ($25 million upfront, single digit royalty, and some sales milestones)?
