#7702 RE: CEOA1US #7700

I agree...That's why they added DHL to the mix.

I think one of the mistakes that was made was to think that the end customer would switch 40-50% of their cold chain shipping shipping to Fedex and leave the rest of it on dry ice with DHL, UPS, Ocasa, and World Courier. In the end, the customer decides who that want to ship with. Adding DHL gives CryoPort much more reach. If they can also add UPS and Ocasa, the world is theirs!

With respect to news, Stambaugh predicted in November 2010 that it would take just a few weeks to a few months to add customers. It’s now been that long. We know they are currently shipping for Caris, CellDirect-Life Technologies and BD Biosciences. (See the CryoPort web site) They have successfully shipped for: Quintiles, Quest, Dupont, Emory U, Cellulogix, Zymo, Stemcell Tech, MD Anderson, Pfizer, MIT, Mayo Labs, Millipore, John Hopkins. There are 4M “deep frozen” shipments done per year, and growing. CryoPort only needs about 130,000 of these annual shipments to break even. That’s a paltry 3% of the marketplace. If they can add just one of their large targeted CRO accounts, they’ve made it.
