If you get the signal rather than having to code the algorithm, I fully agree, it's not hard to write. You just need a source you trust, and the configurability to change sources as needed.
Issue, as I stated before, will be finding a broker who allows the system to provide an 'electronic message' writing the market order directly into their system/database.
If that is a possibility then all bets are off. Haven't found one yet though.
I'm kind of weary about the fact that since it does not seem to be a complicated challenge to develop, we're overlooking something ;-)
