thanks for the short interest. I don't know if I would read anything short of 10% of the float as a sentiment shift.
Please recall that 50%+ is held by big deep-pocketed hedge funds and investment firms... this is probably a woeful underestimation, it may be well north of 75% - 80%.
The recent shorting has coincided with increased buying pressure from smaller individual investors. My guess is that the short volume is probably the summation of several retail short sellers who found out recently that there are LTWs.
They probably have performed minimal DD and most likely have not been paying attention to anything but the POR filings, which lists DIMEQ as equity warrants.
Thus, if you had no idea what you were doing, you might look at the POR and say, "Ha! These warrants are jumping in price and they're more worthless than WAMUQ, I should short that into the ground!"
Hence, the increase in short-volume.
If there is a true sentiment shift, you'll see massive selling in blocks of 10 million or more. When the whales move, we'll be consumed by the wake.
