For the long term type of boxes (not for day trading), I use a "guess" for the next box, it is logarithmic, and average of the last three boxes. That has not worked well for the last two years (as I said, long term, boxes work in a bull market, not a bear market). Thus for instance, troth COCO, ECL and COO, all of which have printed in the last week an all time high are really still at the bottoms of their respective new boxes (COO, possibly, the new box is $56 to $61 and is nearer to its top). INTU is another example of a good "box progression (most recent box $49/ $55 and I was fooled to abandon this one because it breached twice intraday under $49, so boxes are not very religious...).
