the israelis can kvetch all they want. They act like pit bulls that forgot who is holding their leash sometimes and who gives them their kibble.
But ponder what an islamic fundamentalist closure of the canal would mean.. we could have a substantial percentage of our oil shut off for at least a month as the tankers round the Horn of Africa. There would be people going apeshit here, we don't need another major oil crisis right now, it would screw with our "recovery".
Maybe it is israel that needs to ponder a change in leadership. And if Egypt gets it right, that could happen.
