Doesn't look that bad to me, like I said probably some historical building seems quite old. If your into renewable energy doesn't make sense to have a big resource hogging office, instead rehab an old structure.

I often go into multi-million dollar architectural firm offices and they are usually located in some old rehabbed 1800's warehouse or other structure downtown, it's very common.

I'm sure if we saw the interior pictures we'd be more impressed.

You have to admit that having an office like that would be pretty cool.Ths US is only a few hundred years old, people have been living in europe for hundreds more. Less room for HUGE office buildings. Point being, it could be possible for companys to use old housing for office space, and it's "trendy" to do so. Not trying to crush anyone's toes in particular, but some things are getting a bit out of hand and negative for no logical reason.
