REE's are available in multiple places (in the ground). The problem is that China is the only place that has the ability to separate the ores and process them. We have a facility in California, but the enviornmentalist have had it shut down for years. The company is trying to start it up again but will likely run into opposition from those same enviormentalists and State regulators so it may be some time before they can get up and running. Also, they will not be able to process anywhere near the amounts the Chinese do, or probably the number of REE's they do. jmho
