You are correct on some assets like Real Estates but the big portion of the asset is from receiveables.

Especially in a a Chapter 11 bankruptcy - what logic is there to present a balance sheet to Creditors ithat does not reflect market prices.


This is why it is so confusing that the Debtors valuations of the assets in the Disclosure Statement does not match the balance sheets.
