Regarding disclosure, I believe Jacky actually talked about the cost-consideration of the wireless upgrade in one of the conference calls we had in 2010. At least I have a vague memory of that happening, so you may want to listen to the previous CC's for it?

I don't view it as them publicly saying one thing and privately another, I view it as them wanting to do the upgrade and having reservations about it as further analysis was done (So it might be more a matter of timing than anything else).

Regarding the route-specific targeted advertisements, as far as I know that is on the plate even without the wireless technology. The update frequency is something the advertiser's demand will drive and if bi-weekly is sufficient for them at this point in time, I don't see any urgency to doing the wireless today versus in 1-2 years.

I'm not sure how much of a ROI hit the production-costs of new embedded ads get affected by a 2 week delay (maximum possible, avg would be 1 week) before roll-out. Keep in mind that during those two weeks, its not like there were no embedded ads since the buses were showing the previous iteration of such advertisements. So the available ad-inventory was not sitting idle.

Your certainly correct though that as the network grows ever larger, it becomes more and more of a logistical nightmare to manage manually. Of course, with physical catalogs in every bus, someone will need to enter the buses anyway...So i'm not sure how much of a savings the wireless technology will give them there.

Regarding SWITOW, that might drive the wireless upgrade at some point... But keep in mind, most Chinese are perfectly happy giving a phone call to SWITOW's call-center and ordering via phone from the bus. Exactly how would the wireless facilitate a en-route transaction? Its not like the bus has a computer station where people can order from the catalog. Its not like the buses LCD-network will develop to the point where individuals have their own "touch-screen" that allows them to order from the catalog, at least not for a long time.
