There is a rule in place that greatly disturbs me.

All the LTW issue are recorded in electronic postings on our brokerage accounts. The Brokers make a nice income loaning stocks and bonds to short sellers. Thus, our holdings are potential ammunition by short sellers to sand-bag us.

I called my broker and instructed them NOT to lend my shares. I was told that I have no say about that. When I requested delivery of the shares I was told that there would be a huge fee involved.

Catch 22 makes it impossible for us little guys ( no shorting of stocks under $5) and leaves the field wide open for the Hedgies to destroy value (WAMU, LEH, BS, AIG).
