On reviewing some of the tables on pmem.ws you will note that majority of the companies have to process 4 to 20 times as much ore to produce an equivalent amount of oxides in value as GWMG produces by processing only 5.974 tonnes of ore. Which company will be more productive. Another unique point is that the capital and operational costs in South Africa are indicated to be 5 to 7 times less than an equivalent operation in North America. Currently as of Dec. 21, 2010 GWMG now owns 30.6% of the shares of Rareco who own 74% of the Steenkampskraal Monazite Mine with the balance of 26% owned by the (BEE) Black Economic Empowerment Group.
