It's interesting that the FDIC is fighting jurisdiction in this case. Am I correct in thinking that, in the case of WAMUQ, the FDIC has no issues dealing with the tax refunds within the context of BK?
If so, then I wonder why the FDIC is willing to work within the context of a BK court in one case (i.e. WAMU) and yet fight a similar proceeding in CORSQ?
Seems like more of a stall tactic than anything else... could they just be playing hardball for a favorable settlement?
