About J. Michael Cline
J. Michael Cline, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the private equity firm Accretive LLC, is a dedicated conservationist and an active philanthropist. A Trustee of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), J. Michael Cline leads the nonprofit’s initiatives in protecting tigers and other large cats. Through the WCS, J. Michael Cline contributes to one of the planet’s most effective guardians of animals worldwide and the operator of four major zoos and an aquarium in New York City. When not attending to his duties as Managing Partner at Accretive LLC and Chair of the Board of Directors of Accretive Health, J. Michael Cline serves on the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s Board of Directors. Representing the state of Connecticut on the Board, J. Michael Cline works to assure the continued existence of some of the country’s most endangered creatures. Additionally, J. Michael Cline lends his expertise as a successful entrepreneur and leading businessman to the Board of Directors for the Harvard Business School’s distinguished Rock Center for Entrepreneurship. A Trustee of the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut, J. Michael Cline contributes regularly to the all boy’s college preparatory institute. A graduate of Cornell University, J. Michael Cline also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. J. Michael Cline has since started numerous profitable corporations, including Fandango, Xchanging, Exult, and Accolade. Prior to founding Accretive LLC and Accretive Health, J. Michael Cline was a Managing Member and General Partner at General Atlantic Partners, one of the world’s largest private investment firms.
