No polystyrene, no PET...those contain unsaturated aromatic hydrocarbons so will not yield a saturated hydrocarbon. To make diesel and gasoline, you have to break down fully saturated HCs like polyethylene and polypropylene....its basic chemistry. Nylon 6 is a maybe but contains a bit of oxygen and nitrogen so it wouldn't be clean. PE and PP should yield a nice clean fuel and with the proper catalyst, should be quite repeatable. However, PP is often modified and PE comes in a variety of flavors (LDPE and HDPE) which differ due to the level of linear chains and degree of branching which dictates crystallinity.
