If this were true, it would represent an even more serious problem for the Loyal Shareholders of CDIV. Here's why:
Suppose "Naked Shorting" was responsible for the recent 97% PLUNGE in share price that CDIV has suffered. Then there is absolutely nothing to stop "Naked Shorting" from forcing another 97% PLUNGE in the share price from where it is today.
I hope everyone understands this principle.
Keep in mind that the 97% PLUNGE was well underway during the time that The Den was at its strongest, and Monk wasn't afraid to publicly support CDIV. Now all four of the FLD plays have had their share prices crushed and one is under investigation by the SEC, and Monk has vanished from these boards. There is clearly less resistance today than there ever was to stop the Naked Shorters from doing whatever they please.
Anyone still holding on to their CDIV shares should be hoping that the CEO is correct and there is no Naked Shorting on CDIV.
