That was my thoughts as well although the article does state that private companies would have to comply with TSA guidelines and still use scanners and pat-downs. They might, however, also do more. And, like someone else mentioned last week, there are numerous private and public facilities in the US other than airports that may feel the need to provide the kind of security that Implant Sciences can provide, like every sporting event, concert, nightclub or big box store in the country, for starters.
