do u know that when new shares hit the market they show up as short shares. not saying that is the only way but a more likely story than shoring a pink. if you don't believe send pinksheets.com and finr a e-mail and ask

There is hardly enough liquidity in this stock for any short interest. Yesterday IMO was nothing more or less than a momo run, seen it here four times in the last 3 months, JMO of course "-)

There's a difference between Short volume & short interest...
What you see in Finra http://regsho.finra.org/FORFshvol20101229.txt
is short volume.
