the coin dealer didn't take advantage of the old lady. she was just glad to unload the rolls during christmas and in fact, he was paying $80 a roll. so he gave a "lttle extra" to her. she gave him a big "hug" when the deal was done.
when she left, the coin shop owner told me he has such a tremendous demand for silver coins, he would turn them over for a profit almost immediately. heck, i was going to buy 1-2 rolls, but he was selling them for $95 for an instant $15 profit per roll! if i hadn't witnessed the transaction, i would have probably bought them.
my personal goal is to find old codgers who have stashed these pre-1964 dimes and likewise buy them for $80 a roll. anybody here know someone? :-)
