looks like you've got a bit of snow with wind on the way (was there for the Blizzard of '78, incredible) -- though latest forecast has trimmed expected storm totals from 16-20" to 12-16", apparently for somewhat faster projected movement of the storm -- but central pressure just off the Carolina coast has since fallen below 1000mb -- if this one really bombs out just south of the islands, cranks down toward 950mb in one of those surges where for a bit its forward movement is slowed or even stalled, just as you get into the heaviest/really heavy snow bands that have in fact become established a bit north of the rain/snow line, . . .
