currently it is 6-10 based on what others are paying for aquisitions. read any article and figure it out. if they are paying X for whatever barrels of oil, divide that by what they paid for the properties. Korea recently paid 10 per barrel for a property, a recent article on sinopec amounted to $6 on the venezuela properties because they were not centrally located, they were scattered properties. in the Addax deal, it amounted to 12.40 per barrel proven and probable.
if you wholesale a car, they look on the database of what like cars have brought at auction to determine a low, average, and high bid. depending on the condition. no different here. you pay more for light sweet that is easy to extract and develop than you do a lesser grade that may cost more to develop and refine, etc.
