I don't understand why you would have to go to a SS office to pick
up whatever it was you collected in those three different states.

I said I was in the offices in Palm Springs, CA and Tucson, AZ. I count that as 2 as in two! And I never said I was there to pick up anything.
I went to Palm Springs to apply and to Tucson to deal with their failure to deposit a check into my account. Their screw-up took half a day to get corrected.
