Phil- I spent countless hours reviewing all the plans, and that was about the best I came up with.. Actually there is a huge difference from state to state, and what I have found is NJ is one of the highest. SImilar to our auto insurance :)

For example, my friend moved to Florida.. They have a policy now that is much better then mine, and covers their new born child for half the cost of my policy which is for a single adult..

Thanks for sharing tho.. If anyone is from NJ and has health benefits on their own id appreciate the info if you could send me a private message..

I've been in the market for cheap health insurance (for one) for the self-employed for years. They offer one through the Realtors' association, but it is no cheaper than the rest, and that ain't cheap! Anyone know a provider (not an HMO!!) with good rates for a single self-employed??? Who do YOU use for $178/mo?
