Has there been any development in identifying markers to identify those patients at risk for PML?

Biogen feels they have the proper testing as of now. They plan to release the data early 2011.

I kind of remember that the larger institutions are using it now. Biogen is attempting to get a label change for it.

I have pretty much given up following ELN after it was forced to sell on the very cheap half of its alzheimer program. Has there been any development in identifying markers to identify those patients at risk for PML?

My wife is going into a study on this. As I understand it, they will do blood draws and run assays to identify and track JCV titers as a means of assessing the risk of PML.

It is a 3 year study so no near term relief for those concerned about the risk of PML on T.
