Lee-Choad, Wait a doggone minute here. We got the answer foist...a mere 22 min-5 posts after Choad posted.
We gave the answer in the form of an easy clue:

We were of course referring to Mainhiker and his unpleasant experience with mother nature that altered his landscape.
But, refrained from saying his name out of respect for the man and his misfortune.
It's OK if some one else gets the prize. How can one complain about going dutch with Newly.
She's the one gal that can almost keep up. We respect that about her.
