I don't think you understand the number of towers that are required to make that work, and everywhere there is not 2 towers within the transmission distance that tower must be connected by a cable. The other thing you are not understanding is that using wireless won't work for the backbone connection with the speeds people are talking about to the end device. 1G is not fast as fiber, by far. Are they also going to used unlicensed space (white spaces) for the backbone? Not a good idea.
