I think the shorts may have gotten a bit too aggressive on these bios and were caught off guard.. I was watching DNA trade on the initial spike and the size of some of those blocks going of in some cases .50 higher then the ask was incredible.. PDLI sure didnt hurt either : )

Im kicking myself again because a friend just asked if I had covered my ARIA short.. I gave up on ARIA dropping under 5.5 but like a jerk? when I saw the biotechs moving and I jumped on GILD- I immediately jumped into DNDN, and for the life of me have no idea why I didnt remember ARIA.. I watched this little stock for 2 weeks, and especially late last week there was tons of selling at that 5.5/5.7 level, which explains why it spiked so hard with the biotechs.. All that time invested for nada... Aria was the big winner, not DNDN.. argh..

Would be nice for this to just have been a big old fashion one day wonder squeeze and we can short them for some retrace.. but somehow I dont think they will make it that easy and theres still some squeezing to go..

I did fill a little ISRG long on the dip.. not sure I want it tho but its a tiny position ill just dump at around 44 and reposition if need be..

Zeev, I'm not a student of DNA or its work, but it seems to me that, unlike some of the cancer work that I do follow, the Avastin result is multiplied by its potential as an impending panacea, per:

"Genentech is pursuing a late-stage clinical development program with Avastin evaluating its potential use in adjuvant and metastatic colorectal, renal cell (kidney), breast, non-small cell lung and ovarian cancers. Avastin is also being evaluated in earlier stage trials as a potential therapy in a variety of solid tumor cancers and hematologic malignancies."

From a single success, many are thus inferred.

mho, and a minimally informed one, at that,
