Oh ya, absolutely. I watched a few interviews with Clive Beddoe over the weekend. While I think the JetGo reaction may have been a bit too much too soon, it really changes the dynamics of the industry in Canada. (for now, forget about the fact that what AC did with JetGo was criminal - LOL)
Beddoe talked about how incremental ticket price increases would translate to the bottom line. An across the board increase of just $10 meant something like $90M to the bottom line. And the general concensus is that prices are going up. $10 really isn't that much.
The Jet has some better days ahead IMO.
FWIW, I bet the US expansion stops for now.
It was great, though. At one point, a reporter asked Beddoe if there was any chance he would like to buy some of JetsGo's planes. Beddoe said absolutely now. They are junk. They were bought old and retrofitted, and we don't do that. I kinda liked the parting shot.
