I think the argument that some are making about inside info not being illegal at all (meaning remove the law completely) is interesting. I think Milton Friedman was a proponent of removing the law as well.

Blue, My brother has mutual funds through Janus in his IRA. Are mutual funds likely to be in any kind of jeopardy in the insider trading probe ?

I have no idea what to tell him.
