Yes, I think it is a logical assumption
I don't think anyone should be too emotionally tied to this stock, this company or this message board, that is where mistakes are going to get made (and have been made). I think anyone would be crazy to drop more than 1-2% of their investment portfolio into a penny stock with no history of making money unless you personally know someone or something directly related to the company and the industry. If you do find yourself in this latter group (the lucky few) then 5-10% of your portfolio should be about the undisputed maximum one should commit.
There is a ridiculous amount of Americans that play the lottery as a substitute to a sound, consistent, diversified, tax-shielded and conservative investment plan. Those of you that are dumping disproportionately large amounts of money into GEC, and risking your long term security, should just as well play the lotto. After all, both investments are extremely risky and neither one can be influenced by your actions. I've found that the people who usually do the loudest complaining are usually the ones that have overextended themselves.
Play smart people...like my tagline says "hope is not a strategy". By the way, the GEC execs do not care about how foolish or wise each of you have been with your buys/sells nor do they care whether each of you is sad, angry, panicky, etc...they have their own issues and concerns, as well as their own stock positions to think about. Just be glad that they are working hard to make themselves wealthy and if they are successful in doing that then most of us will also be richly rewarded.
Final point - feel free to ask questions, cheer a bit, whine a bit and share information if you have it. This is just a message board people...that is what it is here for...just be respectful and use some moderation.
