I have no insiders at CSCO to feed me information - obviously Chambers has far superior information about CSCO's business than I, but since I would not trust him as far as I could throw him, I try to gather my own information. As far as I am concerned, I believe CSCO is a poster child for smoke and mirrors accounting and cooked books, but that is just my opinion.
All I have are some folks that I have borrowed and shared information with over the years that I have found both trustworthy and knowledgeable in the tech area, especially in chips and equipment. I add to that my research, such as it is, and I you have to be the judge of that as you have more familiarity with it than most here. I do not ask you to believe my sources - that is your decision and if I were you I would take it with a large grain of salt as I would anything from a message board.
As for the "insiders" on the Yahoo KLIC board, only one or perhaps two come to mind, but early on it became evident that they were clueless and any connection with upper management of KLIC was somewhere between tenuous and non-existent. There were a few there (not KLIC insiders) that knew the business well and were both very helpful and worth paying attention to (especially first_watch), but the ones that claimed to be insiders were invariably wrong and nothing more than cheerleaders. But even the good ones were wrong from time to time, and you have to make your own decisions - I disagreed with first_watch a number of times, especially when he began to see a recovery coming.
Good luck to you - always appreciate your charts. Just curious, are you ready to concede that we are not seeing a normal early cycle dip here?? Serious question, not a flip remark.
