It could, I never recommend shorting a stock making a new high, and MMM made a new high yesterday. A target range and ripeness for shorting are very different, IBM could be ripe for a short, MMM, could continue and march to new highs, o have a retrenchment, furthermore, my retrenchment target surely was not 103/05, do a search of my posts on MMM, I am sure it was more in the $110 or so area, as worst case.
