Yeah, it is illegal to manipulate with fake e-mails, PR's etc. attributed to the company. No doubt the SEC frowns on that. And...no doubt those type of posters are just hoping to guess right once so that naive posters will believe them the next time a prediction is made. The false predictor then buys or sells into the manipulated trading. Just IMO.
