acrazjo: Are you claiming that it was actualy e.Digital and not Inflight Canada that created the embedded digeplayer prototype and showed it at WAEA?
I challenge you to get a statement in writing as to what e.Digital's role was and why they didn't mention Inflight Canada in the PR? They made a claim that they did something that was actually another company. To me, that's blatantly lying. Your thoughts about honesty may be different than mine.
I don't know if Wencor proceeded to develop an installed version on their own without Inflight Canada. Because they seem to be marketing only the portable version, I don't see any evidence that they have.
What is the name of the person you spoke to at Wencor? Have they completed airworthiness testing? What did they say e.Digital's role is? e.Digital has no expertise as to how to design products with airline seats?
Please post your sources as I do and specifially what they said.

EDIG has not managed to make dime one from the portable version, with all it's HUGE advantages over the installed versions. And before that corpse is even cold, you are going to start touting great things coming out of installed?
Are we supposed to forget the previous 2 years of hype about how the portable has the installed IFE beat hands down? The fuel savings and the flexibility never really mattered after all? Installed is where it is at now?
Sort of like flash=> dataplay=> hard drive=> "give up" was to DAPs?

What was your source for the claim you made about edig having an embedded contract "forthcoming" and how could they have been so wrong?
What is your source telling you now that everyone knows edig has nothing to do with the embedded system? How did it go from a contract "forthcoming" to no involvement?
